Well it does prevent the bots from buying ten at a time but I'm very unlucky so I will probably hate it when I don't get one.

I love this idea. Only thing is idk if I should have my friends enter too. If we all win then I owe them money and these boxes usually run $100

It's an interesting approach for sure. Like others have said, if it makes it more fair, then it's a great system. I wonder why it was just for the Box of Fun though and not the other exclusives.

I like not having to refresh my phone waiting for something. In past years it was easy enough to checkout multiple times and get more than 1 box, kinda sad about that.

I do like the contents, back to Wobbler nation I see. Hope there is more than one different version.

Basically it's an online lottery system. You enter all your information when entering into it. If you're chosen, it automatically charges you and ships at a later date. Also, you can enter for the chance starting Friday 7/19. It closes 7/22.

Submit your information as if you’re preordering something. If you get picked they let you know and you’re charged, if you lose no charge.

You have to make an account with EQL and submit on funkos website you want to purchase a box. You have between 7/19-7/22 to do so. It’s lottery based so if you get selected to purchase you will get a box. It has you enter your card info when you put in for the lottery so you get automatically charged. They send out email notifications when you have successfully entered and if you won/loss

I would assume you're picking the specific mascot box because it says "Choose Your Mascot" on the graphic!

I'm not advocating but probably having multiple people enter for you. They most likely did this to stop people from ordering multiples and giving more fans a fighting chance

in the past, I've always been able to get a Box of Fun just through the standard way with no issues, so this will be interesting for me. I've never done this method before.

I was surprised when I saw this. I entered the EQL raffle for Mystery Boxes and won three boxes of random pops I’ll end up donating to a toy drive.

I definitely want to keep these Box of Fun figures so the raffle aspect doesn’t excite me too much. I wonder if we will have to enter for each box separately to increase our chances of getting anything at all.

Edit for context: I entered on the odd chance I get an autograph or proto and with the plan of donating the rest. I like the EQL idea but not the risk that I’ll miss out haha!

Nah last years online Fundays box sold out quick. Its the Heavy Metal online box that didn't sell out

On a personal level, I dislike my chances a lot more with EQL than I do with site traffic but looking at the bigger picture this was probably the greater good choice for them to make. Honestly after seeing how overstuffed and probably expensive the BOF is gonna be this year I was already reconsidering anyway. Good luck to everyone still trying for it!

The benefit of using EQL for raffles is (according to them), your odds of winning increase the more that you lose. Good luck!

I'm honestly cool with it. I'd rather have a random but fair system for everyone than to have to sit around and fight the site traffic. If I strike out, and there are items in the box I want, I'll just get them on the secondary market. My list is pretty short these days anyway.

It's a pretty good way for Funko to control the stock and madness of site traffic. Hopefully everyone here gets one, but EQL can be pretty tough. I don't think it's been too difficult to get an online box over the last few years, but you never know.
