Championship Sets

I’m surprised they don’t do past champions sets, or even dynasty sets
They have the pops already so just grouping them together would be cool.
I hate that Al Horford never got a pop but love that he got one with the Celtics championship pack

True, the last 3-peat team in professional sports. But I am hoping the Celtics start a 3-peat of their own and win the title again this season!

I could easily see that happening this year. A three-peat would be tough

Yah the East is scary with Cleveland looking really good now with their young talent. And it feels like the West is always stacked especially with Luka going to the Lakers now

Alright I’ll give Cleveland plenty of props but we all know they are a paper champion. Either NY or BOS will knock em out. As for the Lakers, good luck making it out the West

I feel it's weird to create championship set for old stuffs. If you think about it, it's a special set for something that just happened. And if you do that then you would want to do it since the beginning.

I'm pretty sure if your team loses, the Pops end up with the losing team Super Bowl Champs shirts haha. A ton of valid points though that many people probably don't consider

Had some thoughts on Championship sets that are dropped at the end of each season for the NFL/NBA/MLB/kind of NHL:

1. Does anyone know how many are made? I know these start as a preorder, but do they offer that until X amount are sold, or do they take the preorder and make X amount more?

2. if your team does NOT win, are you still getting the set?

3. if a team repeats, I wonder how they decide who will be in the 4 or 5 pack set? Like if the Dodgers win again, who goes in? Same for the Chiefs. They have to put the stars in (Mahomes, Kelce, Ohtani, etc) to help sales, but who else? Do they have time to mock up the series MVPs for the pics and the presale? Or just regular season stand outs?

4. Hopefully NHL gets a 4 or 5 pack in the future - a smaller run, but it'd be great for the fans.

5. I also hope Funko continues the 4 or 5 packs in Pops. Those KC Chiefs Gold figures were a foot tall each a few years ago! Ain't nobody got room that (or at least make them normal size for variation instead of pops each year...?)

NY is looking shaky now after losing Game 2 to DET. And with Tatum injured for Game 2 vs the Magic, I am just hoping we escape Round 1 with healthy players. The dominant team so far is OKC.... will be interesting how the rest of the playoffs shake out.

I think the new pre-orders are made to order and thats it.
Before they would drop on Fanatics so they probably made a good chunk of them and I don't think they would reprint them.
I'm thinking just slight variations and maybe a new breakout player of the year.
They have to plan ahead so if there is a surprise MVP of the game, they most likely will be left out.

And unfortunately the push for Gold figures did not go so well. So we will probably see a shift from that.

I love the champ sets. The dodgers this year though seemed lazy though. If I remember, the only new person on there Is snell. Where is Rojas? Kike? Will smith? Roki?
Hell Shohei, betts, and freeman were no where to be found most the series. I didn’t order this new one, I’ll wait to get it cheaper since there is no one new on it. Love the dodger though and if IF they three peat…. Funko go all out with a 300$ 9 champ box set
