Anybody else missing Funkos NFT program?
Really missing it lately especially since some of the lines they had planned looked great and it feels impossible to get LE pops on any retailers stores…I understand people hated the gambling aspect though :/

I am not computer smart enough to play the game but I bought some of the resulting Pops and they are awesome.

It was good just looking them with nostalgia, but when it was running everyone had their complaints like always, the lot of bots, the big ballers hoarding everythinng, the lack of customer service...the only good thing was the opportunity to some good dessigns, but like half of the drops are pretty forgettable

Like most ambitious things, you will miss the good and forget the bad. I think the best part was the accessibility of the very rare pops. You decided what you liked and went for that, generally finding a good price or pulling it yourself. The extra hoops slowed down a lot of the quick flippers in many instances. The bad... I choose not to remember.

I don’t miss having to buy soooo many digital to try to get the redeemable. Not really sad that it’s gone. Funko can still release the planned pops.

I will miss the funkos themselves as they had some great pieces. Not so much the having to remember to go in and make sure you had gotten them all to redeem.

I miss the chance of pulling Grails in the packs, and the general look of the boxes was cool. I don't miss how much money I spent trying to pull those Grails though

Funko still is doing blind boxes on figures (and collabs) instead of NFT packs. It’s not the same but at least you get something physical. Hopefully the Funko blind boxes get better - maybe up to NFT level?

Opening packs was very fun and addicting
I do think they learned more about the limited edition aspect and applied it to shop sales.

Personally, the gambling on a pack was a lot more fun than attempting for the LE drops. So many variables make the LE drops not as fun.

I really liked the NFTs and at least I had a chance of getting a redeemable pop. I think the problem it had was the had three different platforms to purchase crypto in order to buy tokens, not everyone was comfortable and/or knew how to purchase crypto, where to buy it, and which one in particular to purchase. It was confusing for most. That was a running issue for the duration of the NFTs. I'd love for them to come back but they would have to figure out a better way to run it, allow novices an easy way to purchase crypto or just come up with a different way to purchase NFTs in general.

I agree on this, when I first got into NFTs I didn't really see a guide on how to go about this at all. I would have to go by word of mouth from others on how they started and do my own little research. If they do come back they would definitely need to make it user friendly for those that don't know much about crypto.
