Marvel Legends & Hasbro have had huge success with figure + card sets. I think LE or con POPs that came with a card would work out good. They have the Pokemon license and imagine how much hype a card in POP style that was exclusive to a POP figure would be? Same for MTG! And Yu-Gi-Oh! Lots of potential licenses! Even One Piece TCG for you Anime fans!

Funko POP x Trading Cards Possibility? (Again?)
Funko had those Upperdeck trading cards a few years ago for SDCC but as a lot of us know: the TCG market has exploded (again) and I am surprised Funko isn't going into it more. They have little cards for the mystery POPs but I meant something more collectible.

I'd be all in on this if they kept it to cons or limited runs. A numbered card that only comes in the LE box, or a chase card that matches a chase Pop, would give people a reason to keep the pair together instead of splitting them up to resell. The part they'd have to get right is the art. If the card is just a photo of the Pop, nobody will care, but original card art from the same designers could be really cool.

I definitely would be in on this idea. I used to own a card shop and have collected cards for over 50 years.

When you said Pokémon and LE and or con exclusives only that sounds really interesting and would probably do well with more them just funko collectors

Agreed but I wish they did them like the 1990’s Marvel Master Piece set.

Same and at some point my mom gifted me the entire seat. It was an amazing gift.
