Hey Hey just a quick update for you all that i've been going back and fourth with Brian, and will finalize some designs then send them off into production! thanks to everyone that have been emailing and asking.

PLEEEEEEASE put me out of my misery and explain the story behind the Monkey Versus Robot line:
You have poison bakers but the assassinated Dictator Spastik shows he was shot. So who are the bakers poisoning, and who shot the Dictator? Whose side are the bakers on? The Space Monkeys appear cute but have fangs- what's the scoop on them? Where do the gorillas come in to the story? And the Science Guy?

I need to know. AND NO ONE WILL TELL ME!!!!!?!

So I tried the "official" Less Than Jake site. Where I was ignored. Again.
Then I tried a site dedicated to Vinne Fiorello. Ignored. Niiiiiiice.

Less Than Courteous would seem to be a more appropriate name.....

Thanks. I really like the look of the MvsR line. And I'm normally not so cranky, but I would have been happy with an official "we don't know" or "we'll get back to you"- even if they never did- from just ONE of the sites.

i have one email address and i answer every email, so let me say hello my name is vinnie and i'm a funko-a-holic.
i moonlight as wunderland war.
the start of the monkey vs robot line now turned to wunderland war has roots in Gainesville where i live - the college here were researching biological weapons and monkeys escaped, so afraid of these escapees that the army deployed remote controlled robots to snatch the monkeys when the location was zeroed in on...

Hey, Vinnie-

I completely apologize for my curmudgeonly posts regarding my frustration in finding out the story behind the characters of the MvsR line. You seem to be the ONLY person on the planet who can bring closure to my need in knowing the storyline behind the various characters.

The info about the beginnings of the line is EXACTLY what I've been itching to hear/know, and I hope you know that I am now going to be that irritating guy-at-the-party who follows you around and won't let you go until I get the whole scoop or you leave the party. I NEED TO KNOW! It's such a great line, visually, but I am guessing the story is equally as interesting. And I don't know it.

So....

*In real life, the monkeys escaped. But instead of a "leader", you created a Dictator. Why?
*Who/what is the Dictator the oppressor of, and how did he get to power?
*The Dictator was assassinated, as depicted by the bullet wounds on his chest. By who/whom?
*There are monkey bakers. Why? And one has a poison cupcake. Who will he poison?
*You mentioned that robots were sent to catch/destroy the escaped primates. Yours are depicted as gorillas. Why?
*There is a print that shows an army of Space Monkeys in front of the Dictator. It appears as if they are his drones. They have a cute but vapid expression and hearts on their chests but closer inspection shows they have many sharp fangs. What's the scoop on them?

And yes, I do know that I am a complete and total freak for wanting to know all this, and it really brings that William Shatner "Get A Life" skit into sharper focus....

here is the hierarchy in the wunderland war world:

- the monkey dictator -

* he is the leader of the of the escaped but now freed monkeys, robots and humans are hunting them down one by one to bring them back in R&D.

- the monkey assassin -

* using modern weapons to fight fire with fire against humans & robots alike

- monkey baker -

* another assassin but this time using food to poison the humans controlling the robots

- space monkeys -

* the infantry of the general, they are cute but under the cute facade they are deadly

- EVERY REVOLUTION NEEDS A LEADER, EVERY REVOLUTION NEED BELIEVERS TO MAKE IT A REVOLUTION -
