Re: Blind boxes
I LOVE BLIND BOX ITEMS!!! I think this is a great move for Funko. I really like the Trading Forum idea. That would really help with all the duplicates you get stuck trying to sell on ebay.
I do like the fact that the amount of characters is low, making getting you favorite character easier. But having multiples of one character in different poses takes away that ease and gives the possibility of sticking you with the ONE pose you really didn't want.
All-in-all, I love this new direction Funko is taking. Now I have to buy these as well as the POP! figures.

Re: Blind boxes
Personally I have never gotten into Blind Boxes of any sort. We bought 1 of the pocket gods and I've bought 1 Marvel blind box a while back but I wouldn't be able to afford getting many of them. I hope they do well for Funko, but I won't be the one helping drive that sale volume.

When you guys are referring to the DC series you mean the Domo one's right? And what's the Joker one you are referring to Himbopop? I haven't heard much about these.

I think the trade thread idea is excellent. But like Chris said, the common pieces will rule, but it will still be helpful.

Hmmm, Chris, I preordered mine from Plunder Run also. Bet the disapproving guy above you likes one of my duplicates and wants it for his desk!

Thanks, they look pretty cool but I really hope I don't get into them honestly. That's just another hole in my wallet and the blind boxes tend to make a bigger hole than regular collectibles where I know what I'm buying.

Lol I'm sure you can lure him in, and i'll be willing to bet if and when funko makes a star wars blind box he'll change his mind about them, if not just hide the duplicate from him until Christmas!

Re: Blind boxes
Personally, I love blind boxes and different ratios. They make collecting exciting. While you can get doubles, I have a facebook trade group to trade doubles with others. It makes it a lot more manageable when you know you can trade them off. I've already bought 2 cases of the Disney Mystery Minis and I plan on buying 2 of the DC Universe cases as well

Re: Blind boxes
I love blind boxes, I love the thrill of the chase, what I hate is when people cheat and open them up, I tend to do fairly well w/blinds, Ive only opened a dozen or so, and have pulled some rare pieces, really looking forward to the Marvel blind boxes.
Chester, I have a pocket god fire pygmy(the hardest to pull) on ebay, that doesnt seem to want to sell, I'd be willing to trade it if you have anything I may be interested in, if so send me a PM, and I'll let you know what kind of stuff I'm looking for.

Re: Blind boxes
I like Blind boxes (though I gave up on the TokiDoki marvel blind boxes, too many and too few I actually wanted - 2 of 20) but they're very difficult to buy a lot of when you don't have a store to buy them in.
I really want several of the Disney blind boxes, but I'll probably just throw some into an ebay order from a seller that has both Pops and blind boxes, and then buy the ones I want when people start selling the opened blinds.
Case in point; I recently paid 34$ for a set of TokiDoki cactus pups to finish my blind box collection, because I couldn't find any reasonably priced blind boxes anymore :S

Re: Blind boxes
I found the DC Domo mystery minis at Barnes & Noble. There are only a few that I actually want from this line, so I only bought 2. I was able to pull the Riddler & Two-Face! Now if I can just pull a descent Batman and I will move on to the Disney minis.

Re: Blind boxes
There are several sites posting more images of the DC Mystery Minis. Are these coming out soon? Does anyone know the actual release date?
I just find it odd that two different sites would post articles and pics for this line all of a sudden.

Re: Blind boxes
These Mystery Minis would be a great way to put out lots of the side characters (B & C list characters) for DC, Marvel, Disney, and others.
Could you see a Black Mask, Scarface & Dummy, or the Creeper myster minis from DC.
Maybe the Walrus & the Carpenter from Alice, the many faces of Genie from Aladdin, or the Crows from Dumbo.
It would be AWESOME!!!

Re: Blind boxes
my LCS makes it nice as they allow others to trade in there duplictaes and have several out of box to purchase.
i love the figures but would rather not have to buy them as blind boxes but hey if they sell better that way, than i have no issue with it. its more personal prefrence
