Question for Wobbler collectors

It don't mean a thing if it ain't got a spring. Come inside and chat about Funko Wacky Wobblers (bobble heads, for the less sophisticated).

Question for Wobbler collectors

Postby jgordini » Sun Oct 13, 2013 9:06 am

OK, since I'm a total newbie with the Wacky Wobblers I need to be educated before being suckered into false advertisements. How does one know if a Wacky Wobbler has a true Funko produced variant? Do they receive a sticker like POPs? The reason for my question is I have noticed on EBay that some Duck Dynasty Wobblers have been appearing with different coloring/painting on the different figures. Also I have noticed that for these "variants" the box doesn't mention that they talk which the ones I own do. So how does a newb like me know if Funko has in fact made variants of Wobblers?

Jim, my guess is that the Duck Dynasty non-talking wobblers are fakes. The quality of the box looks inferior compared to the regular talking wobbler box. But the main thing I see (without actually seeing good pics of the wobblers), is the bottom of the box. No UPC code and no chocking hazard warning or other notes and symbols that appear on most other Funko wobbler boxes. No JJL sticker on bottom either.

I may be wrong, but if it doesn't quack like a duck........

Thanks Carol! I have tired contacting Funko to see what all variants they had for the Duck Dynasty pieces. They haven't gotten back but I know they are busy. I look forward to seeing what Brian tells you.
