I bought two Disney Series 2 mystery minis at Hot Topic the other day, and the cashier pulled the bar-code sticker up a little bit to check the UPC's and make sure I wasn't getting doubles. She even had me put one back and swap if for another one that she double-checked and said I was good.
My daughter opened them and wound up with an Ariel and a Pumba, so they were in fact two different pulls. But as hard as I might, I couldn't see any difference whatsoever with the UPC codes or the numbers stamped on the bottom of the box.
Was the cashier messing with me or just a whack-a-doo? Or perhaps am I just missing something?

Very interesting theory, I wonder now if there was any stock in it or if she really was just messin with ya. Next time ask her what the trick is!
